I ordered a size small, the material is nice and they are thick but they were ill fitting on me. the waistband was good but then they ballooned out below the waist and I had a big pooch of material and the pockets stuck out. was not flattering whatsoever. I think an XS would be too small around the waistband. I understand the relaxed fit but they just didn't work for me
